Attorney · Mediator · Arbitrator

Gabriel Bellman, Esq. is an attorney, mediator, and arbitrator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has dedicated his career to providing skilled, compassionate legal representation to individuals navigating some of the most challenging moments of their lives — from criminal charges and personal injury claims to civil rights violations and housing disputes.
Gabriel is a panel attorney for the AIDS Legal Referral Panel, providing vital legal services to those living with HIV/AIDS. He serves as a mediator for the Department of Police Accountability, resolving disputes between citizens and police officers, and as a certified arbitrator for the San Francisco Homeless Shelters, working on resolutions for residents in San Francisco's shelter system.
A recipient of the Wiley W. Manuel Award from the California Lawyers Association for his pro bono work, Gabriel is recognized for his commitment to access to justice. He lectures regularly for Mensa, and is a member of the organization. He is an advocate for justice and joy in all areas of life — believing that the law, at its best, is a tool for human dignity and flourishing.
Gabriel has written articles and given lectures for the Bar Association of San Francisco on the use of silence in dispute resolution. His piece, “Silence is Just Plain Sound,” explores how strategic silence can be one of the most powerful tools in mediation and negotiation.
He serves clients throughout San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, and the broader state of California.
